St. Clement Danes Commemorative Stone

A service was held at St. Clement Danes, London on Sunday 19th April 1998 during which a stone to commemorate all those who joined the Royal Air Force as Apprentices and Boy Entrants was dedicated. The stone is set in the paving on the South side of the church and bears the inscription, "TO COMMEMORATE ROYAL AIR FORCE APPRENTICES AND BOY ENTRANTS, 1920 - 1993". An airman's hat badge is engraved above the inscription and 'the wheel' below it. When you are next in London, you might wish to view the commemorative stone.
